Position Title: IT Applications Specialist - CRE
Level: Executives/Junior Management
Reporting to (Title): Lead - RITSC
Position Purpose
Closely work with the local business teams/ user groups and translate CreAgro business needs into IT Application requirements.
Assume responsibility for maintenance of existing applications for CreAgro.
Contribute in new projects implementation and rollout, training the end users and facilitate the department as and when required.

Operational Responsibilities
IT Applications (Programs and Projects)

• Participate in defining new opportunities for IT applications in CreAgro. Contribute to effective requirement elicitation and relevant documentation.
• Be an active team player in delivering IT Application projects, enhancements and change requests on existing platforms like Perkin Elmer Electronic Laboratory Notebook, Microsoft SharePoint online and other applications as and when introduced in the function.
• Plan and manage project activities and tasks for smooth and high quality in-time delivery.
• Maintain and support all applications in CreAgro through efficient communication and collaboration with the business users.
• Co-ordinate with other IT team members in order to define, design and develop IT solutions for CreAgro users in order to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Test and validate the systems as per the requirement and efficiently deploying production environment through change approval process.
• Prepare efficient and thorough system and technical documentation.
• Train the business users and prepare training materials and end user documentation.

Other IT Areas (Infrastructure, Security and Operations)

• Collaborate with infrastructure team for procurement, management and maintenance of all infrastructure required for hosting applications.
• Co-ordinate with vendors and infra team for constant monitoring of system performance and ensuring smooth usage of the systems by the business users. Participate in the site IT security compliances and operations as and when required.
• Responsible for managing all IT support tickets for the CreAgro applications and ensuring all the desired SLAs are met.
• Guide the IT service team for working efficiently and monitor progress of tickets raised to internal IT team and service vendors.

• Maintain close working relationships with the other departments in the company for smooth communication and coordination.

Education Qualification

• Engineering background in Computer Science or related fields.
• Certifications in IT Applications, Business Analysis or Delivery, would be an added advantage.

Work Experience
5 to 7 years of work experience with minimum 3+ years of experience of in similar role in relevant IT Applications function, ideally in the chemical, pharmaceutical, CRO, life sciences industry.
Industry to be Hired from
Any Industry but having some exposure to Life Science and R&D set up in particular would be an added advantage
