Job Title: Research Scientist - Advanced Materials

About the Role:

We are an advanced materials science-driven company based in Chennai, seeking a motivated and skilled Research Scientist to contribute to our advanced R&D programs and support the development and scale-up of innovative material and polymer-based products. This role bridges fundamental research with industrial application and plays a key part in translating laboratory concepts into commercially viable technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to advanced research and development activities in materials science and nanotechnology. Design, synthesize, and optimize polymeric and advanced material systems for new and existing products. Support scale-up of materials and processes from laboratory to pilot and industrial scale. Plan and execute experiments, analyze data, and draw actionable conclusions to guide product development. Characterize materials using advanced analytical and instrumental techniques to evaluate chemical, structural, thermal, and mechanical properties. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external research partners to drive innovation. Prepare technical documentation, research reports, and presentations to support R&D and product teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline. Experience in nanotechnology, advanced material synthesis, and industrial process scale-up is an added advantage. Strong hands-on experience with sophisticated materials characterization and analytical instrumentation. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary research environments. Strong problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
