Chandigarh University seeking highly motivated and accomplished Research Professors to join our dynamic academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conducting industry-focused research projects, securing grants from funding agencies, and producing high-quality publications in reputed journals. The Research Professor will play a crucial role in advancing our institution's research agenda and enhancing its reputation as a leader in innovation and academic excellence.
Thrust Areas: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Internet of Things, Cyber Security, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics and Gaming & Graphics

Responsibilities:

• Conducting Industry-Focused Research:

• Lead and participate in research projects that address key challenges faced by industries and organizations.
• Collaborate with industry partners to identify research needs, develop project proposals, and execute research plans effectively.
• Apply advanced methodologies and technologies to solve real-world problems and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in relevant fields.
• Generating Grants and Funding:

• Proactively identify funding opportunities from government agencies, private foundations, and industry sponsors.
• Develop competitive grant proposals that align with the institution's research priorities and strategic objectives.
• Cultivate relationships with funding agencies, industry partners, and other stakeholders to enhance research collaborations and secure external funding.
• Publishing High-Quality Research:

• Produce original research articles, scholarly papers, and technical reports for publication in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
• Maintain a record of high-quality publications that demonstrate significant contributions to the field and have a positive impact on academia, industry, and society.
• Participate in academic conferences, workshops, and seminars to disseminate research findings and engage with the broader scholarly community.
• Supervising Graduate Students and Research Staff:

• Mentor and supervise graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and research assistants involved in research projects.
• Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to help research team members achieve their academic and career goals.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive research environment that promotes excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Teaching and Academic Service:

• Contribute to the academic mission of the institution through teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.

Qualifications:
Essential: A Ph.D. degree in a relevant field from a reputed university, with a strong academic record and demonstrated expertise in specialized areas of research with -

• Proven track record of conducting industry-focused research projects, securing grants from funding agencies, and publishing high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience in collaborating with industry partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to address real-world challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
