About CIRA (Creative Industry Rights Association)

CIRA is a newly founded independent body committed to safeguarding the rights of

photographers, artists, and creative professionals in the age of AI. We focus on education,

advocacy, and legal protection around copyright and creative rights.

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Research & Outreach Associate with prior NGO or nonprofit

experience to support CIRA's mission. The candidate will conduct research, connect with

like-minded organizations and individuals, and assist in community-building efforts. This is

an opportunity to play a key role in shaping a national-level initiative that protects and

empowers creative professionals.

Key Responsibilities

? Research & Analysis

o Conduct secondary research on copyright, AI policies, and creative industry rights.

o Track global and Indian developments in AI and creative rights.

o Prepare briefs, reports, and presentations for the leadership team.

? Outreach & Networking

o Identify and connect with partner NGOs, creative communities, universities, and industry stakeholders.

o Maintain a contact database of potential allies, members, and collaborators.

o Support in building membership and partnership pipelines.

? Support Activities

o Assist in organizing webinars, workshops, and events.

o Help prepare communication material for social media, newsletters, and advocacy campaigns.

o Document meetings, maintain minutes, and coordinate follow-ups.

Qualifications & Skills

? Experience: 1-1.5 years of experience working in an NGO, nonprofit, or advocacy

organization.

? Education: Graduate degree (preferably in Social Sciences, Arts, Law, Media, or

related fields).

? Skills:

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential for outreach).

o Strong research and writing skills.

o Good communication and interpersonal skills.

o Ability to network and build relationships with stakeholders.

o Basic knowledge of digital tools (MS Office/Google Workspace, social

media).

o Interest in copyright, creative industries, and AI policy (preferred).

Stipend/Salary: ₹15,000 - ?20,000 per month (based on experience).
