Position Overview



The

Research Officer - Social Impact Research

will support the design, implementation, and analysis of research studies that evaluate the social impact of SCEH's eye health programs. The role involves working closely with program teams, community outreach units, and clinical departments to generate evidence that informs strategy, enhances program effectiveness, and strengthens donor reporting.

Key Responsibilities Research & Evaluation



Design and implement qualitative and quantitative research studies related to eye health, community outreach, and social impact. Develop study protocols, research tools, consent forms, and ethical approval documentation. Conduct field surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and observational studies. Ensure data quality through regular monitoring, validation, and documentation.

Data Analysis & Reporting



Clean, analyze, and interpret data using statistical or qualitative analysis tools (SPSS, STATA, R, NVivo, Excel, etc.). Prepare research reports, briefs, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Document case studies, impact stories, and evidence-based insights to demonstrate program outcomes.

Stakeholder Coordination



Coordinate with program managers, field teams, clinical staff, and partner organizations to implement research activities. Liaise with donors, academic partners, and evaluation agencies when necessary. Support capacity building of field teams on data collection and monitoring processes.

Knowledge Management



Maintain structured research databases and repositories. Contribute to publications, conference papers, and knowledge dissemination activities. Track emerging trends in public health, eye care, and social impact evaluation.

Required Qualifications & Skills



Master's degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Health Economics, Development Studies, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in research, monitoring & evaluation, or social impact assessment (preferably in the health or development sector). Strong skills in research design, statistical analysis, and data visualization. Experience working with community-based programs or health interventions is an advantage. Excellent communication, writing, and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with diverse teams. Willingness to travel to field sites when required.

Pay: ?60,000.00 - ?80,000.00 per month
