Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative professional to join our R&D team for the formulation and development of

new-age cosmetic products

. The role involves conceptualizing, designing, and developing formulations in skincare, haircare, personal care, and other innovative categories aligned with global trends, regulatory compliance, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Formulation Development

Develop innovative, stable, and safe cosmetic formulations (skincare, haircare, baby care, natural/organic, dermo cosmetic, and premium segments). Conduct literature reviews and trend analyses to identify new raw materials, actives, and technologies. Optimize and reformulate existing products to improve performance, stability, or cost-effectiveness.

Product Development Lifecycle

Translate marketing briefs into technically feasible formulations. Prepare prototypes and conduct Laboratory trials for new product concepts. Ensure batch-to-batch consistency and scalability from lab to pilot to production.

Testing & Compliance

Conduct stability studies, compatibility tests, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with

Indian (BIS, FDA)

and international regulatory requirements. Maintain proper documentation of formulations, batch records, and technical data sheets.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

Work closely with

Marketing, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, and Production

teams for seamless product development. Support technology transfer to the manufacturing floor, resolve scale-up challenges, and ensure GMP compliance.

Innovation & Trends

Identify and incorporate

new-age trends

(clean beauty, natural/organic, ayurvedic, vegan, cruelty-free, sustainable packaging). Evaluate novel ingredients, green chemistry, biotechnology-based actives, and advanced delivery systems.

Qualifications & Experience

M.Sc. / M.Tech / Ph.D. in

Cosmetics Science, Chemistry

3 - 8 years

of hands-on experience in cosmetic product formulation and development (skincare, haircare, or personal care). Strong knowledge of

cosmetic raw materials, emulsions, surfactants, polymers, and actives

. Experience in laboratory techniques, formulation stability, and performance testing. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks.

Key Skills & Competencies

. Knowledge of

in the global cosmetics industry. Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams. Excellent documentation, reporting, and presentation skills.

Pay: ₹37,581.74 - ₹90,539.83 per month
