Key Responsibilities
Develop and validate equivalent circuit models (ECM) and physics-based battery models using MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape
Design and implement state estimation algorithms (EKF, UKF, Particle Filters) for SOC/SOH/RUL estimation
Execute battery testing protocols (HPPC, GITT, capacity tests, aging tests) and extract model parameters
Process and analyze large-scale battery datasets from testing equipment and fleet vehicles
Generate technical reports, validation studies, and visualization dashboards
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or related field
Master's degree preferred in Battery Technology, Power Electronics, or Control Systems
Experience:
2-4 years
in battery modeling, simulation, or BMS algorithm development
Must Have Skills:
Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery chemistry, electrochemistry, and aging mechanisms
Knowledge of battery chemistries (LFP, NMC, NCA)
Proficiency in
MATLAB/Simulink
and
Simscape
for battery modeling
Knowledge of equivalent circuit models (RC models, Thevenin) and parameter identification
Python
(NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib) for data analysis
Good to Have:
Experience with
PyBaMM
or similar battery modeling tools
