Job Description

A leading rural NGO, Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute (NARI), in western Maharashtra is looking to hire research engineer interns to help run and modify a solar powered drinking water plant using rain water harvesting so as to provide clean drinking water for rural schools.

The work entails help in designing, setting up , data taking, troubleshooting and optimizing the plant. Candidates who have done work in the area of setting up pilot scale plants will be preferred.

We are looking for an engineer (B.Tech/M.Tech) in

Mechanical or Chemical Engineering only

who has excellent knowledge of engineering,

flair for working with their hands

and a missionary zeal to change the world specially the lives of rural poor through technological innovations. If successful there is a good chance of this project becoming a startup.

This is not any other job but a mission. However, the selected candidates will be paid a decent stipend and a free place to live on the campus. Also the candidates can do their master and Ph.D. thesis work on the NARI projects under Dr. Rajvanshi's guidance.
