Roles and Responsibilities
Apply your knowledge in fluid mechanics, numerical methods, and multiphase flows to develop innovative aerothermal/aero-mechanical solutions for system dynamics and gearbox fluid dynamics technologies on next-generation GE Aerospace products.
Deliver on technical projects with guidance to meet project requirements
Participate in a team on technology programs to enable future design advancements, while demonstrating independence in executing tasks leveraging your technical skills
Ideal candidate:
Should have experience in fluid mechanics, numerical methods, and multiphase flows to develop innovative aerothermal/aero-mechanical solutions for system dynamics and gearbox fluid dynamics technologies on next-generation GE Aerospace products.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics, Aerodynamics / Aeromechanics and /or Multiphase Flows.
Fundamental knowledge in fluid dynamics, multiphase flows and relevant computational expertise and drawing physical insights thereof.
Demonstrated competence and experience in code development using C, C++, Python
Demonstrated experience in using in-house codes or commercial CFD codes and meshing tools.
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new, unfamiliar technology areas.
Experience in using large computer clusters to run large simulations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment

Experience in mechanical systems engineering focused on computational techniques for lubrication and damping technologies
Experience in developing reduced order models based on foundational understanding of gearbox fluid dynamics
