Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled

Research Associate - Molecular Biology & Nanopore Sequencing

to support laboratory research, sequencing workflows, and data generation. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques and nanopore sequencing platforms to support genomics and microbiome research projects.

Key Responsibilities

Perform molecular biology experiments (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, library preparation) Operate and maintain nanopore sequencing platforms (Oxford Nanopore) Prepare samples for sequencing and ensure quality control Analyze sequencing data and generate research reports Maintain lab documentation and experiment records Troubleshoot experimental issues and optimize protocols Collaborate with bioinformatics and research teams Follow laboratory safety and quality standards Manage reagents, consumables, and inventory Stay updated with latest genomics and sequencing technologies

Required Skills & Qualifications

4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in molecular biology and sequencing Strong knowledge of PCR, qPCR, NGS library preparation Practical experience with Oxford Nanopore sequencing platforms Familiarity with sample QC methods (Nanodrop, Qubit, Bioanalyzer) Experience in handling microbial / human samples Strong documentation and reporting skills Good understanding of laboratory safety guidelines

Preferred Skills

Experience in microbiome or genomics research Knowledge of basic bioinformatics tools Experience with wet lab automation Publications or research project exposure MSc / PhD in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences
