Summary (optional)

This position will act as mass spectrometry laboratory analyst in

  • analytical method development/validation/transfer in GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, LC-HRMS
  • technical investigation,
  • impurities strategy (ICH Q3)
  • structure elucidation of unknown compound
  • supporting chemical characterization, extractable & Leachable studies
for new or support of existing products within internal Baxter laboratories and with Baxter external partners

Essential Duties and Responsibilities. This section contains a list of five to eight primary responsibilities of the work. The incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.
  • Conduct or support the development of qualitative and quantitative methods in GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, LC-HRMS
  • Contributes to analytical method validation/co-validation/transfer both internally or with CRO
  • Write study protocol, perform laboratory work, and write report of GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, LC-HRMS studies related to evaluation/qualification of new and existing products.
  • Document results in Electronic Laboratory Notebook according to established GDP procedures
  • Collaborate with other functions such as project management, functional leads (E&L, Formulation, Analytical, quality, \xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Contribute to problems solving efforts related to mass spectrometry area to meet urgent business needs / maintain timeline
  • Advises supervision and customer when facing issue and propose options to meet timeline/define new timeline when facing issues
  • Adhere to Quality System requirements and ensure GMP and GDP standards; also adhere to general and specific environmental, health and safety guidelines
  • Contribute to the creation and update of the equipment and analytical procedures, participate to the ordering of necessary material, reagent, or equipment pieces
  • Maintain Laboratory reagents, materials and equipment as directed and in a good operating order

  • Must have expertise and working knowledge in areas associated with mass spectroscopy and chromatography (gas and/or liquid)
  • Communication skills to build relationships across functional and geographical boundaries and present technical results/plans to technical and non-technical teams.
  • Personal responsibility and independent ownership of analysis and results.
  • A good understanding of ICH and cGxP practice
  • Must be able to challenge the status quo and demonstrate a pro-active attitude
  • Ability to adapt to changes and to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to identify risks, issues and opportunities and communicate to supervisor and customer
  • Fluent spoken, read, and written English is a must.
Education and/or Experience. Include the education and/or experience that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.

  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s in science: for instance, Analytical, Organic chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharma Science\xe2\x80\xa6
  • 3-6 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, R&D, manufacturing\xe2\x80\xa6.
