ARKA Defence is a newly established defence-technology startup, founded by industry veterans with over 15 years of proven expertise in building cutting-edge systems. The founding team has led the development of state-of-the-art technologies across robotics, autonomous systems, automation, tactical UGV/UAV platforms, and mission-critical defence solutions.
As we scale rapidly, we are looking for highly skilled and hands-on Embedded Electronics Engineers to join our core R&D team.
Role: Research Associate - Electronics (Embedded Engineer):
This role is ideal for candidates who breathe electronics--those who can debug circuits intuitively, architect robust embedded hardware systems, and write efficient firmware. You will be part of a fast-paced innovation environment working on advanced defence, robotics, and autonomous platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
-Design, analyze, and debug electronic circuits for robotics, automation, and defence-grade embedded systems.
-Develop and test embedded firmware for microcontrollers (ARM, STM32, ESP32, AVR, PIC, etc.).
-Work with sensors, actuators, motor drivers, communication modules, and real-time interfaces.
-Interpret schematics, datasheets, PCB layouts, and system block diagrams.
-Perform hands-on prototyping, soldering, testing, and iteration.
-Integrate embedded systems with larger robotic or UGV/UAV platforms.
-Troubleshoot power systems, signal integrity issues, and EMI/EMC challenges.
-Collaborate with mechanical, robotics, and software teams for cross-functional system integration.
-Maintain documentation, test reports, and design logs.
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Skills (Must Have):
-Strong fundamentals in electronics engineering.
-Hands-on experience in designing and debugging analog & digital circuits.
-Proficient in embedded C/C++ programming.
-Practical experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M, STM32, ESP32, Arduino, etc.).
-Familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, PWM, ADC/DAC interfaces.
-Experience using lab tools: oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, soldering stations.
