Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant/Associate to support ongoing research projects in the areas of Banking, Financial Intermediation, Corporate Finance, and Financial Markets.





The selected candidate will receive training in finance and econometrics, develop a solid grounding in theoretical and applied finance, and work on multiple research projects. The training and skills acquired enable candidate to contribute to high-quality finance research projects. This position also prepares the candidate for admission to doctoral or equivalent programs at prestigious business schools worldwide, ultimately leading to careers in finance research at top-tier business schools or research organizations.

Responsibilities:

The position will involve following responsibilities:



Researching, collecting, and compiling information Maintaining and updating quantitative economic, financial, or statistical databases - Processing, consolidating, and transforming data sets within and between databases using statistical and/or econometric techniques Evaluating economic, financial, or statistical relationships in databases Analyzing economic time series data ######

Tenure:

The initial appointment is for one year, with a possibility of an extension up to two years, subject to performance appraisal.

Skills and Qualifications:

Outstanding academic records, especially at Bachelor's and Master's levels. MPhil/Master's in Finance, Statistics, Engineering, or Economics from a top institute is preferred. Proficiency in atleast one of the computing packages such as Python, R, STATA, etc. is required. Basic statistics knowledge is required. Familiarity with econometric methods will be an advantage. Prior research experience will be an advantage. A strong interest in finance is essential.

Location:

Office space will be provided on the IIM Udaipur campus. For optimal convenience, candidates should be located near IIM Udaipur Campus.
