The Research & Development Assistant (MPH) supports the NGO's public health-focused research, program development, monitoring, and documentation activities. The role involves collecting and analyzing health-related data, contributing to evidence-based program design, and assisting in proposal development for community and public health initiatives.
2. Key Responsibilities

A. Public Health Research
Conduct epidemiological and community health assessments.
Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative health data.
Support baseline, midline, and endline studies for health programs.
Prepare research briefs, fact sheets, and scientific summaries.
B. Program Development & Proposal Writing
Assist in designing public health interventions based on community needs.
Support the preparation of concept notes, project proposals, and logical frameworks (LFA).
Research national health policies, global best practices, and donor priorities.
C. Monitoring & Evaluation
Support development of M&E tools for health programs.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs), health outcomes, and program outputs.
Assist in data cleaning, coding, and generation of M&E reports.
D. Documentation & Reporting
Document case studies, community health stories, and project outcomes.
Contribute to donor reports, presentations, and knowledge management.
Maintain accurate research documentation, ethical standards, and confidentiality.
E. Field Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
Coordinate with health workers, social workers, field staff, and project teams.
Liaise with local health departments, hospitals, and community partners.
Participate in community meetings, awareness programs, and capacity-building workshops.
3. Qualifications & Skills Required

Technical Skills
Strong understanding of public health research methods.
Basic statistical skills and knowledge of tools such as Excel, SPSS, or STATA (preferred).
Ability to conduct surveys, FGD, KII, and field assessments.
Proficiency in MS Office and report preparation.
