Job Description

Brief Description about the Project

The impact of chronic inflammation on long-term iron balance in women of reproductive age with Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection using iron isotope dilution method - A cohort study

This project is an IAEA-supported cohort study designed to understand iron absorption and iron losses in women of reproductive age living with HIV, using advanced iron isotope dilution techniques. Participants will be recruited from a hospital based clinic and followed longitudinally to generate high-quality clinical, nutritional, and laboratory data. While the role is primarily clinic-based, the project offers a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience with stable isotope methods and other cutting-edge laboratory techniques in our modern biochemistry facility. This position will be particularly appealing to candidates interested in biochemistry, nutrition, or those looking to build strong foundations in clinico-social research, given the close participant interaction, public-health relevance, and integration of both laboratory and field components.
