As an RA, you will support exciting research projects using bioinformatics to address important challenges, like infectious disease elimination, reduction, and management in aquaculture. A successful candidate might be someone having a strong background in computational biology/bioinformatics with sufficient knowledge in structural biology. Prior experience in using existing 3-D structure prediction and molecular visualization tools is a plus. Day-to-Day Responsibilities :- Utilize computational modeling techniques to design and predict protein/peptide structures, including homology modeling and de novo design algorithms.- 3-D Structure prediction and analysis of protein, DNA and RNA.- Employ bioinformatics tools and databases to analyse structural data.- Scientific report writingQualifications :- PhD, Master\'s or Bachelor\'s degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, computational chemistry, or a related field.- Prior working experience in projects related to Bioinformatics/Computational Biology or similar fields.- Strong familiarity with relevant bioinformatics tools, software packages and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis- Familiarity with high-performance computing environments.- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment.- Attention to accuracy of data/reports/analysis.
