About the Role:



As a Research and Evaluation Coordinator, you will work closely with the Senior Manager - Research and Evaluation to design, implement, and disseminate impactful studies. Your contributions will strengthen our ability to deliver contextualized, evidence-driven programs that meet the learning needs of educators and learners in secondary schools and TVET institutions.


Key Responsibilities




Research and Evaluation Design & Planning




Lead the design and development of research and evaluation frameworks, methodologies, and tools with a strong focus on qualitative approaches. Frame evaluation questions using qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods designs; define relevant indicators and data collection strategies that uphold ethical research practices. Conduct literature reviews to support and contextualize ongoing studies.

Qualitative Data Collection




Lead qualitative data collection activities, including:

+ In-depth interviews with program participants, stakeholders, and community members.
+ Focus group discussions.
+ Participatory observation in field settings.
Review and assess organizational knowledge products such as curricula, toolkits, ed-tech platforms, and prior research/evaluation reports. Adapt tools and methodologies to ensure cultural relevance and inclusivity while maintaining data quality and integrity.

Qualitative Data Analysis




Analyze qualitative data using relevant methods such as thematic, narrative, or discourse analysis. Identify patterns, trends, and key insights that complement or expand upon quantitative findings.

Internal Knowledge Sharing & Learning




Collaborate with program and communications teams to develop reports, presentations, and other dissemination materials based on research findings. Present insights to diverse audiences, including internal teams, donors, and community stakeholders. Produce concise, narrative-based outputs for internal learning and reflection. Work with the monitoring team to enhance tools that capture nuanced, field-level insights. Provide training and support to field staff on qualitative data collection techniques.

Relationship Management




Support dissemination of findings across Quest's programs and to external stakeholders as needed. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and information flow. Ensure timely submission of all required reports and maintain accurate data records. Actively participate in team meetings, review sessions, and appraisal processes.

Eligibility Criteria




Postgraduate degree in social sciences or a related field. Minimum 4-5 years of experience in research and evaluation within the development sector. Strong knowledge of current trends in evaluation and research both in India and globally. Demonstrated experience in designing qualitative tools and conducting evaluations for educational programs focused on youth and adolescents. Deep interest in the field of education and a strong commitment to working within high-performing teams. Familiarity with participatory research and evaluation methods is a plus. Strong skills in qualitative data analysis and the ability to synthesize findings into compelling, data-driven narratives.

Salary:

The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 58,000/- per month (cost to company) (The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
