About the Role

Cogniter Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented

Manual Tester / QA Engineer

with 2-5 years of experience to join our growing QA team. You will be responsible for analyzing requirements, designing and executing test cases, and ensuring high-quality, bug-free deliverables. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

+ Review and analyze

project requirement documents

for accuracy and completeness
+ Collaborate with

Project Managers and Developers

to define scope and requirements
+

Design, document, and execute test cases and scenarios

+ Track client feedback and ensure timely implementation of changes
+ Perform

functional, regression, integration, and system testing

+ Report, document, and track bugs/issues thoroughly using tracking tools
+ Review and validate reports prepared by

junior testers

+ Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery
+ Follow and enhance

QA processes

to support continuous improvement

Required Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in

Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

+ 2-5 years of proven experience as a

Manual Tester / QA Engineer

+ Strong understanding of

software testing methodologies and QA processes

+ Ability to write

clear and comprehensive test cases and bug reports

+ Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (e.g.,

JIRA, Trello, Bugzilla

)
+ Strong

communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

+ Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
+ Knowledge of

basic SQL queries

for data validation (a plus)
