About the Role

Cogniter Technologies is seeking a

Manual Tester / QA Engineer

with 2-5 years of experience to join our QA team. In this role, you will analyze requirements, design and execute test cases, and ensure delivery of high-quality, bug-free solutions. You will collaborate closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

+ Review and analyze project requirement documents for accuracy and completeness
+ Collaborate with Project Managers and Developers to define scope and testing requirements
+ Design, document, and execute detailed test cases and scenarios
+ Track client feedback and ensure timely implementation of changes
+ Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
+ Report, document, and track bugs/issues using bug-tracking tools
+ Validate reports prepared by junior testers and provide guidance as needed
+ Manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines
+ Follow and enhance QA processes to support continuous improvement

Required Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
+ 2-5 years of proven experience as a Manual Tester / QA Engineer
+ Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA processes
+ Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and bug reports
+ Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Bugzilla)
+ Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
+ Knowledge of basic SQL queries for data validation (preferred)
