Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver lessons for primary classes (Grades 1 to 5) in accordance with the CBSE curriculum
Teach core subjects including English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Science etc.
Use age?appropriate pedagogy, activities, hands?on learning and educational aids to engage young learners
Maintain a positive, disciplined and caring classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
Monitor, assess and evaluate student progress through tests, classwork, homework, projects and provide timely feedback
Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support or enrichment to students as needed
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, student behavior and other academic documentation
Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress, strengths, areas for improvement during parent?teacher meetings or via reports
Participate in school events, co?curricular & extracurricular activities, assemblies, field trips etc.
Work collaboratively with other teachers and school administration to align on curriculum, teaching standards and best practices
Keep up to date with CBSE board guidelines, teaching methodologies, educational technology and continuous professional development
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in any subject
B.Ed. / D.El.Ed / equivalent primary teaching certification required
Previous experience teaching in primary sections (preferred)
Strong command of English (oral & written); knowledge of Kannada / local languages is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, creativity, adaptability to different learning styles
Good classroom management skills
Willingness to contribute to school beyond academics (extracurricular, discipline, mentoring etc.)
Working Conditions
Full?time role in a CBSE school
Standard school hours as per institution schedule
