Responsibilities
Plan and conduct physical education classes for students across different grades in accordance with the CBSE curriculum
Teach a variety of indoor and outdoor sports, fitness routines, warm?ups, stretching, games etc.
Guide students in physical fitness, motor skills, coordination, stamina, flexibility etc.
Organize and supervise sports events, inter?house / inter?school competitions, sports day etc.
Ensure safety during physical activities; proper use and maintenance of sports equipment and facilities
Monitor and evaluate student performance in physical education; give feedback and support improvement
Encourage participation, sportsmanship, discipline and teamwork among students
Maintain records of attendance, performance, health/fitness progress and reporting to parents/administration
Collaborate with school staff for integrating physical health & wellness into school culture
Stay updated with latest trends, safety standards, pedagogical practices in physical education
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or equivalent; M.P.Ed preferred
B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification advantageous
Prior experience teaching P.E or sports in a school setting preferred (at least 1?2 years)
Knowledge of multiple sports and fitness training methods
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Energetic, patient, motivating, with ability to manage groups of students
Understanding of safety, first aid during sports / physical activities
