Position Overview:
We are hiring a
Freelance / Part-Time ACT Mathematics Tutor
who can confidently teach and train students in the Math section of the ACT exam. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of ACT math topics, an engaging teaching style, and a passion for helping students improve their test performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-on-one or small group online tutoring sessions focused on ACT Mathematics.
Teach core ACT math topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and data analysis.
Break down complex math concepts into simple, understandable steps.
Share test-taking strategies and time management techniques specific to the ACT.
Assign practice work, monitor student progress, and provide constructive feedback.
Communicate regularly with the academic coordinator to monitor student progress and improvement.
Qualifications:
Prior experience tutoring ACT Math (online or offline).
Strong knowledge of ACT Math syllabus and question formats.
Bachelor's degree or pursuing one in Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Familiarity with online teaching platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, and virtual whiteboards.
Preferred Qualifications:
ACT Math score in the 90th percentile or above.
Experience teaching international students, particularly those based in the U.S.
Ability to explain concepts visually using digital tools.
