Role Overview
The Reporting Specialist will design, develop, and maintain advanced reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to transform complex data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI aligned with business requirements.
Develop robust data models and implement ETL processes for accurate and efficient data transformation.
Connect Power BI to multiple data sources (e.g., REST APIs, SQL databases, enterprise platforms).
Ensure seamless integration and data consistency across systems.
Create comprehensive documentation for reporting solutions, including data architecture and usage guidelines.
Provide training and support to end-users for effective adoption of dashboards.
Conduct thorough testing of reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Implement iterative improvements based on stakeholder feedback.
Work with Enterprise Services and PMO teams to align reporting solutions with organizational goals.
Participate in design reviews and incorporate best practices for data visualization and governance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in Power BI development, including DAX and Power Query.
Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
Familiarity with APIs and connecting Power BI to diverse data sources.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Power BI Certification is mandatory.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Microsoft tools such as Power Automate and Logic Apps.
Knowledge of REST API integration.
Experience with enterprise platforms such as Autotask or similar.
Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
