Job Overview
The Repair & Maintenance Executive is responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of all kitchen equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, and basic civil infrastructure across assigned Salad Days kitchens. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, quick resolution of breakdowns, vendor coordination, and minimizing downtime to ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine preventive maintenance of kitchen equipment such as ovens, chillers, freezers, exhaust systems, RO units, and gas pipelines.
Attend to breakdowns related to electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and minor civil work within defined TATs.
Coordinate with external vendors and service partners for major repairs and AMC-related work.
Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and expense details for all assigned locations.
Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and statutory standards during repair and maintenance activities.
Identify recurring issues and propose long-term corrective or cost-saving solutions.
Support new store setups, store handovers, and periodic audits from a maintenance perspective.
Ensure minimum operational downtime and quick restoration of critical equipment.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and basic civil maintenance.
Hands-on experience with QSR or cloud kitchen equipment preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
Vendor management and cost-control orientation.
Basic documentation and reporting skills.
High sense of ownership, responsiveness, and problem-solving mindset.
Qualifications & Experience
ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field preferred.
2-5 years of relevant experience in QSR, cloud kitchens, restaurants, or retail operations.
Willingness to travel across assigned locations and work in flexible shifts, if required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Equipment uptime and reduction in breakdown frequency.
Turnaround time (TAT) for issue resolution.
Preventive maintenance compliance.
Maintenance cost control and vendor efficiency.
