Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with expertise in design and remote configuration of wireless network that includes WAPs, Switches and Firewalls. This role involves working with industry-leading technology and collaborating closely with onsite client teams to implement robust, high-performance Wi-Fi networks and network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a complete, validated and implementation-ready design for Wi-Fi networks and their supporting infrastructure (Internet, WAN router, core switches, firewalls and LAN).
Define and design logical network structure, including IP addressing, VLAN segmentation, inter-VLAN routing policies and SSID-to-VLAN associations.
Develop a Detailed Design Document (DDD) containing network topology diagrams, VLAN/IP schemas, security architecture and device configuration templates.
Design and implement security protocols, including encryption, authentication and access control.
Develop redundancy, failover and traffic prioritization strategies to ensure high availability and quality of service (QoS) for voice and video applications.
Specify security and segmentation rules for firewalls, IDS/IPS, MAC filtering, rogue AP detection, and remote management access.
Configure Wireless Access Points (WAPs), Aruba L2 PoE switches, firewalls, core switches and routers remotely.
Ensure all devices are configured according to client requirements, industry best practices and security standards.
Establish certificate management and secure key handling processes.
Ensure design sign-off and approval from clients prior to deployment.
Qualifications:
A Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics & Communications.
2 - 3 years of experience with remote configuration and management of Wi-Fi networks and network infrastructure, including Aruba WAPs, PoE switches, firewalls and routers.
Strong knowledge of network design principles, including IP addressing, VLAN segmentation, routing and QoS.
In-depth understanding of security protocols, access control, AAA, and firewall configurations.
Experience with WAN routing (OSPF/BGP) and core switch configuration.
Familiarity with performance simulation and capacity planning techniques.
Excellent documentation skills to develop detailed design documents and network diagrams.
Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Aruba, or equivalent) preferred.
