Are You The One

As a Senior Software Engineer at MatchMove, you will play a pivotal role in building scalable, secure, and efficient payment transaction systems that power our industry-leading B2B BAAS solutions across Southeast Asia. You will work with a dynamic team of engineers to innovate on architecture, deliver high-impact software, and ensure the robustness and security of our payment infrastructure at scale.


In this role, you will:

Design & Development

: Architect, design, and implement complex, scalable, and secur

e

payment systems that support high availability and low latency.

API Development

: Build and maintain highly reliable, scalable, and secure APIs that serve both internal and external stakeholders.

Infrastructure & Performance

: Enhance the end-to-end payment infrastructure, ensuring a self-healing, resilient environment that meets stringent performance and security requirements.

Technology Leadership

: Lead key technology decisions, rationalizing architecture choices, and driving technical initiatives to improve system reliability and efficiency.

Collaboration

: Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams to align on goals, milestones, and product roadmaps.

Quality & Deployment

: Deliver high-quality code and documentation while maintaining strong testing, CI/CD, and automation practices to ensure seamless deployments.

Localization & Compliance

: Ensure that payment systems adhere to regional regulatory requirements, addressing localization needs for different markets across Southeast Asia.

Ownership & Delivery

: Maintain a high level of ownership over engineering deliverables, ensuring predictable execution and alignment with business priorities.

Requirements:

Strong proficiency in Go, with a proven track record of building and maintaining robust backend systems. Experience with relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization. Hands-on experience in API design and management, ensuring efficient and secure integrations. Deep understanding of cloud-based deployments, with experience in operating and scaling applications in production environments. Familiarity with Git-based workflows and working in collaborative, cross-functional teams. Strong grasp of secure coding practices and data protection, especially in payment systems and financial transactions. Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) for automation and tooling. Understanding of enterprise software design patterns and best practices in building resilient, maintainable systems. Contributions to open-source projects or a public GitHub portfolio showcasing technical expertise.
