KannyFilms is a boutique wedding videography studio based in Toronto, Canada. We specialize in South Asian weddings and work with couples who care about authenticity, emotion, and cinematic storytelling. We film ~30 weddings a year, and we're growing. Our team is looking for a remote Operations Lead to support our backend workflows so we can stay creatively focused.
Your Role
As our Operations Lead, you'll keep the business running smoothly behind the scenes. From coordinating freelancers and updating shoot timelines to helping with client onboarding and managing project pipelines -- you'll be our organized second brain.
Responsibilities
Manage client onboarding process (Tally forms, Flodesk automations, CRM updates)
Communicate directly with clients to confirm wedding itineraries, collect event details, and ensure timelines are clear and complete
Maintain and update shoot calendars, schedules, and wedding week timelines
Coordinate with freelance videographers and confirm shoot coverage
Track project delivery status (edits in progress, delivery timelines, feedback, etc.)
Organize files, links, and footage logs post-wedding
Monitor and follow up on invoices and payments (non-finance role, just tracking)
Help improve and document internal workflows (SOP creation)
You're a Good Fit If You
Are extremely organized and detail-oriented
Communicate clearly and professionally in English
Are tech-savvy with tools like Google Workspace, Notion, Trello, HoneyBook (or similar CRMs)
Learn fast and aren't afraid to ask questions
Have 2-4 hours/day of availability that overlaps with EST mornings or evenings
Nice-to-Haves
Past experience working with creatives, photographers, videographers, or agencies
Familiarity with tools like Flodesk, Zapier, WeTransfer, and Canva
Basic knowledge of social media (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest) -- ability to assist with scheduling posts, organizing content folders, and supporting content strategy
Experience working remotely for international clients
