Job Summary:

A Remote ELV (Extra-Low Voltage) Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, monitoring, and supporting ELV systems -- such as security, communications, and automation systems -- from a remote location. This role blends technical expertise in ELV systems with strong coordination, troubleshooting, and digital communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities, (include but not limited to):

Prepare and review ELV system designs Prepare technical drawings, single-line diagrams, and layouts using AutoCAD or Revit. Develop technical submittals, compliance statements, and method statements for approval. Provide remote support to onsite installation teams for system integration, configuration, and commissioning. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for remote troubleshooting and resolution. Guide site engineers/technicians via video calls, chats, or remote desktop sessions. Prepare, review, and maintain accurate documentation Assist with project timelines, BOQs, and procurement processes. Track project progress and update logs and reports. Participate in remote client meetings and technical reviews. Ensure all designs and implementations adhere to international standards (BS, NFPA, IEEE, etc.) and local authority requirements (QCDD, Civil Defense, etc.). Keep up to date with code changes and new technologies in ELV systems.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in ELV systems design (CCTV, Access Control, FDAS, etc.) AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent drafting tools Networking basics (IP addressing, switch configuration, etc.) Familiarity with industry protocols (ONVIF, BACnet, Modbus, etc.) Strong understanding of ELV integration platforms (e.g., BMS, VMS, ACS)
