you’ll be our : Test Engineer– (Electrical/Electronics) Hardware Packaging
you’ll be based at : IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru
you’ll be Aligned with : Manager- Hardware Packaging
you’ll be a member of: Hardware Packaging Team What you’ll do at Ather:
This role is for a Test engineer who would take care of testing of various electro-mechanical box builds and peripheral systems for electric two wheeler projects. He/She shall also take care of the electrical Lab and testing activities in the hardware packaging team.

• Execute Black Box level tests as per planned procedures. Prepare and present test reports.
• Design and setup test stations for Hardware packaging tests in accordance with safety standards.
• Build / Rework on the PCB with SMD and through hole components for testing.
• Execute tests identified in DFMEA/PFMEA and generate reports.
• Debug issues during verification tests and help build a database of lessons learnt from the design.
• Execute safety and regulatory tests at sub-system level per recommended standards, debug issues.
• Document and log all the test results in standard industry format.
• Owns and maintains hardware packaging lab.
  

What we are looking for:

• Testing/Re-Working/Assembly of Power Electronic Products.
• Execution of Thermal Tests, Safety & Regulatory Pre-Compliance Tests.
• Rework and soldering of SMD and through hole devices on PCBAs.
• Test Automation, Understanding of test jigs and fixtures.
• Participation in calibration of test equipment.
• Effective communication.
• Ability to read and understand drawings.
• Exposure to different types of electronic components.
  

What tools knowledge we are looking for:

• Knowledge in operating Oscilloscope, Multimeter is a must.
• Knowledge in measuring equipment like Calipers, Gauges is preferred.
• Hands on with soldering of SMD, through hole components is a must.
• Good documentation skills with MS-Tools, Gsheets etc..
• Exposure to Data logger, Spectrum analyzer, Current Probing equipment, Thermocouples, Electronic load, Power supplies is an advantage.
  
  
  

You bring to Ather:

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
• Min 2 years of experience in the testing of Electrical/Electronic products including but not limited to Power components like drives, inverters, converters etc.. Must have hands-on experience in test automation, understanding of test jigs and fixtures, rework and soldering of SMD and through hole components. Experience in thermal testing, safety and regulatory tests on power electronic products is preferred.
