Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Relay Programming Engineer or Manager to lead the design, programming, and implementation of microprocessor-based Bus Transfer Relay systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in electrical/electronic engineering principles, experience in relay logic development, and a keen eye for detail and innovation.
Depending on experience and leadership capability, the role may also include managing a team of engineers, providing technical mentorship, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
? Design and develop relay logic systems for microprocessor-based Bus Transfer Relays.
? Ensure proper programming, testing, and validation of relay configurations.
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze system requirements.
? Review and improve existing relay logic for reliability and performance.
? Participate in product development and R&D activities as required.
? (For Managerial Role) Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to ensure project
milestones are achieved.
? Stay updated on emerging technologies and standards in power system protection.
Qualifications and Requirements:
? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
? Minimum of 2 years of experience in microprocessor-based relay logic programming.
? Strong understanding of power system protection and relay operation principles.
? Excellent grounding in electrical and electronics engineering fundamentals.
? Hands-on experience in relay logic programming, testing, and troubleshooting.
? Familiarity with communication protocols like IEC 61850, Modbus, and DNP3 (preferred).
? Experience with tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, MI Power, or SCADA (preferred).
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
? Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part
of a team.
