The role focuses on expanding the company's footprint within large infrastructure projects, driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction through customized solutions and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Client Acquisition
Identify, prospect, and onboard clients in the infrastructure, construction, and EPC segments.
Develop strong relationships with decision-makers such as project heads, procurement managers, and consultants.
Generate business from infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, industrial, commercial, or government projects).
Participate in tenders, bids, and project-based sales activities.
2. Key Account Management
Manage existing client relationships to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Understand client requirements and offer tailored solutions aligned with project specifications.
Conduct regular client meetings, review project progress, and provide after-sales support.
3. Market & Competitor Analysis
Monitor industry trends, upcoming infrastructure projects, and competitor activities.
Collect and analyze market intelligence to identify business opportunities and challenges.
Provide inputs for pricing strategies, product development, and marketing campaigns.
4. Sales Planning & Reporting
Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue and margin targets.
Prepare project pipelines, forecasts, and performance reports for management.
Coordinate with internal departments (technical, logistics, finance) for order execution and client servicing.
5. Relationship Management & Networking
Represent the organization at industry events, exhibitions, and networking platforms.
Build strategic alliances with contractors, architects, consultants, and government bodies.
Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction and brand representation.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Graduate / B.E. / B.Tech (Civil / Mechanical) preferred; MBA (Marketing / Business Development) is an advantage.
Experience:
5-12 years in B2B sales, key account management, or business development in infrastructure-related industries (cement, steel, construction materials, heavy machinery, EPC, etc.).
Industry Preference:
Infrastructure, Construction Materials, Building Solutions, Real Estate, or Engineering.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong business networking and relationship management skills.
In-depth understanding of the infrastructure project lifecycle and procurement processes.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to handle large-value transactions and long sales cycles.
Analytical mindset with strategic planning capability.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and project tracking tools.
