The Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, distributors, dealers, architects, builders, and contractors in the building materials sector. The role focuses on driving sales growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and identifying new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients in the
building materials
segment.
Identify new business opportunities and expand market share through
dealers, distributors, and project sales
.
Understand client requirements and provide suitable product recommendations.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual
sales targets
as per company objectives.
Manage and resolve customer complaints, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, finance, technical, marketing) to ensure smooth order execution and delivery.
Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activities, pricing, and customer trends.
Prepare and maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and account plans.
Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events to strengthen brand visibility.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum
3-7 years
of experience as a Relationship Manager / Sales Executive / Key Account Manager in the
building materials industry
(cement, steel, tiles, sanitaryware, paints, adhesives, etc.).
Strong network with
builders, contractors, architects, and channel partners.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and business growth.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.
Self-motivated, target-oriented, and willing to travel extensively.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
