Regulatory Officer - QC & QA

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with FSSAI, Legal Metrology, BIS, and other relevant food regulations. Prepare and submit documents for product registration, renewals, and licensing. Monitor regulatory updates and ensure timely implementation of new requirements. Coordinate with external agencies for audits, inspections, and certifications.

Quality Assurance (QA):

Implement and monitor SOPs for production, packaging, and quality systems. Review and approve batch manufacturing records, product labels, and specifications. Conduct internal quality audits and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Maintain documentation for HACCP, ISO, and other quality management systems.

Quality Control (QC):

Supervise sampling, testing, and analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods. Ensure laboratory practices comply with standard testing protocols. Evaluate and release materials/products based on quality parameters. Assist in validation and calibration activities of instruments and processes.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain and update regulatory and quality documentation as per company policy. Prepare reports on compliance status, non-conformities, and corrective actions. Ensure all records are audit-ready and traceable.

Qualifications & Experience:

B.Sc / M.Sc in Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field. 5-8 years of experience in QC/QA and regulatory affairs in the FMCG or Food Industry. Good understanding of FSSAI guidelines, GMP, and ISO standards. Strong documentation and communication skills.

Work Environment:

Based at factory/QA office with coordination between production, R&D, and compliance teams. May involve travel for audits, inspections, and regulatory meetings.
