leading the sales team for regulatory works, managing submissions and approvals, ensuring compliance with global and local regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory agencies.
preparing and submitting regulatory dossiers, reviewing product labels and marketing materials, and providing legal counsel to ensure compliance with statutes like the Pesticide Act and Fertilizer Control Order.
Key responsibilities
Product registration and lifecycle management:
Manage the submission of applications for new agrochemical products and ensure continued compliance throughout the product's life cycle.
Regulatory compliance:
Interpret and apply national and international regulations, including the Pesticide Act and Fertilizer Control Order, to ensure all company activities are compliant.
Dossier preparation and submission:
Prepare, review, and submit regulatory dossiers and ensure timely responses to queries from regulatory bodies.
Label and marketing review:
Review product labels, marketing claims, and advertising materials to ensure they meet legal standards and are aligned with regulatory expectations.
Agency interaction:
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, building and maintaining relationships, and negotiating with them for approvals.
Legal and policy support:
Assist in preparing legal responses to notices and other queries from government bodies and provide strategic advice on public policy matters.
Cross-functional collaboration:
Work closely with research and development, marketing, and sales teams to align new products with regulatory requirements and advise on compliance strategies.
Qualifications and skills
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field is typically required.
Experience:
8-10 years of experience in regulatory affairs, specifically within the agrochemical industry, are often necessary.
Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of global and national agrochemical regulatory requirements is essential.
Skills:
Strong project management, attention to detail, data analysis, and technical skills are crucial. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also vital for interacting with internal teams and external agencies.
