About Us
SITASRM Institute of Management & Technology (SIMT) is seeking an experienced and highly organized Registrar to oversee all aspects of student academic records, registration, and academic policies. This key administrative position requires a meticulous professional with a strong background in educational administration, a commitment to data integrity, and a passion for supporting student success.
The Registrar will be the institutional authority on academic records, working closely with faculty, students, and other administrative departments to ensure compliance with institutional policies and external regulations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Records Management:
Manage and maintain the security, accuracy, and integrity of all student academic records, including grades, transcripts, and enrollment data, in compliance with university policy and state/federal regulations.
Registration & Academic Scheduling:
Oversee the student registration process, including course scheduling, enrollment verification, and the timely processing of adds/drops. Collaborate with academic departments to develop and publish the academic calendar and course catalog.
Academic Policies & Compliance:
Serve as the primary point of contact for interpreting and enforcing academic policies and procedures. Ensure institutional compliance with accreditation standards and all relevant higher education regulations.
Graduation & Commencement:
Administer the graduation process, including degree audits, clearance, and the coordination of commencement ceremonies.
Reporting & Data Analysis:
Generate and analyze data for institutional reporting, strategic planning, and accreditation. Provide enrollment, demographic, and other academic reports to administration and faculty.
Leadership & Staff Supervision:
Lead, train, and mentor the Registrar's Office staff, fostering a culture of high performance, accuracy, and excellent customer service.
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
Work with admissions, financial aid, and other departments to ensure seamless administrative support for students.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Must be conversant with AKTU, AICTE, and UGC norms and regulations and have prior experience with liaison work with these bodies.
Required Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's degree in Educational Administration, Higher Education, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
7-10 years of professional experience
in a full-time role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
Industry Experience:
Previous work experience in the education sector is highly preferred.

Strong computer literacy, with experience in Student Information Systems (SIS) and database management.

Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges related to records, policies, and student issues.
Interpersonal Skills:
A strong service-oriented mindset and the ability to build effective working relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
