Job Description

A registered pharmacist dispenses medications, provides patient counseling on safe and effective use, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and optimal treatment. Key responsibilities include filling prescriptions, checking for drug interactions, administering immunizations, managing pharmacy inventory, and maintaining patient records. Core responsibilities

Dispense and prepare medications:

Accurately fill and label prescriptions, and compound medications when necessary.

Ensure medication safety:

Review prescriptions for appropriateness, and check patients' medical history for allergies, conditions, and other drugs to prevent adverse reactions.

Provide patient counseling:

Educate patients on proper medication use, dosage, side effects, and storage.

Collaborate with healthcare providers:

Advise physicians and other healthcare professionals on medication selection, dosage, and potential interactions.
Additional duties

Administer immunizations:

Provide vaccinations, such as flu shots, in many settings.

Offer health advice:

Provide guidance on general health topics, lifestyle changes, and over-the-counter medications.

Manage pharmacy operations:

Oversee pharmacy staff, including technicians and interns, manage inventory, and maintain records.

Handle administrative tasks:

Deal with insurance companies, maintain patient profiles, and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
Essential skills and knowledge

Deep understanding of pharmacology, how different drugs work, and their interactions with the body. Knowledge of patient care and health conditions. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare teams. Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage inventory and records accurately

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
