Job Description

To provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing organ transplantation, ensuring preoperative and postoperative support, continuous monitoring, and coordination of care in collaboration with the transplant team. Provide nursing care to transplant patients in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. Monitor vital signs, fluid balance, lab parameters, and organ function indicators. Identify and respond promptly to signs of organ rejection, infection, or complications. Educate patients and families on medication adherence, hygiene, and post-discharge care. Work closely with transplant surgeons, physicians, transplant coordinators, and other healthcare professionals. Assist in the coordination of transplant surgeries, including pre-surgical preparations. Maintain accurate, complete, and timely nursing documentation. Follow strict aseptic and infection control practices to prevent post-transplant infections. Provide pre- and post-transplant counseling and education regarding lifestyle modifications, nutrition, and follow-up care.

Qualification:

B.Sc. Nursing / GNM

Experience:

Minimum 1-5 years of experience in a transplant unit. Exposure to kidney transplant care is desirable.

Skills:

Strong clinical judgment and emergency response skills. Knowledge of post-transplant care. Excellent communication and coordination abilities. Compassionate patient care and emotional resilience.
