Clinical Care & Patient Management

Assist in

pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative

care for dental and oral surgical procedures. Monitor

vital signs, oxygen saturation, and pain levels

pre/post procedures. Administer

medications

, IV fluids, and injections as per prescriptions. Maintain

nursing notes

and patient records as per NABH and hospital SOP Prepare and monitor patients undergoing

Nitrous Oxide sedation

,

Conscious Sedation

, or

General Anaesthesia

. Ensure informed consent, pre-anesthetic checklist, and ASA grading is documented. Provide bedside care for

IP patients

including those post-oral surgeries or trauma. Assist in patient admission, orientation, and discharge procedures. OT preparation: Sterilization of instruments, arrangement of surgical trays. Scrubbing, assisting in surgical procedures, maintaining

aseptic protocols

. Support during

minor dental procedures

involving extractions, biopsies, etc. Act as emergency responder for

medical emergencies

like vasovagal shock, allergic reactions, bleeding, etc. Knowledge of BLS/ACLS mandatory. Assist in

incident reporting

, patient feedback documentation. Participate in audits and support internal NABH documentation practices. Ensure proper

segregation and disposal

of biomedical waste (BMW). Daily monitoring of disinfection protocols in OT, ICU, and dental operatory. Track nursing-related

Quality Indicators

(e.g., medication error rate, patient falls, I/O chart accuracy). Report any

adverse events or near misses

as per NABH protocols.
