Experience:

Minimum 1 year experience in Cath Lab or Post Cath Care Unit

Qualification:

B.Sc / GNM Nursing Kerala Nursing Council Registration mandatory

Job Summary:

The Cath Lab and Post Cath Nurses are responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and post-procedure recovery. They ensure patient safety, assist in procedures, and support cardiologists in delivering quality cardiac care.

Key Responsibilities:Cath Lab Staff Nurse:

Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures such as angiogram, angioplasty, and pacemaker implantation. Prepare the Cath Lab, ensuring sterile environment and availability of required equipment. Monitor patient vitals during and after procedures. Administer medications and maintain accurate records. Support emergency management during procedures.

Post Cath Nurse:

Provide post-procedure monitoring and care in the recovery unit. Observe and record vital signs, detect complications, and report promptly. Administer prescribed medications and maintain patient comfort. Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and discharge instructions. Ensure infection control and documentation compliance.

Skills & Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of cardiac procedures and nursing protocols. Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
