As we continue to grow, we are seeking a knowledgeable and culturally aligned Registered Dietitian specializing in South Asian nutrition to join our virtual care team.
This role is ideal for a compassionate RD/RDN who understands the nuances of South Asian diets, cultural eating patterns, and common nutrition-related health concerns within the community. You will provide high quality, virtual nutrition support to clients with diverse goals and health backgrounds.
Role Overview
We are hiring a part-time, remote independent contractor who can deliver culturally relevant nutrition counseling with excellent English communication skills. Professionals of any nationality are welcome, as long as they possess strong expertise in South Asian dietary patterns.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct virtual nutrition consultations (initial assessments and follow-ups)
Create and refine individualized nutrition plans with a focus on South Asian dietary preferences and cultural practices
Provide guidance on chronic disease prevention, weight management, and overall wellness using evidence-based approaches
Educate clients on food choices, meal planning, lifestyle adjustments, and sustainable habit formation
Document sessions accurately and promptly in a HIPAA-compliant manner
Collaborate with other health professionals as needed to support comprehensive care
Minimum Requirements
Active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or equivalent international credential recognized in the U.S.
Demonstrated experience working with South Asian nutrition, dietary patterns, or culturally aligned meal planning
At least 1 year of clinical, counseling, or outpatient nutrition experience (telehealth experience preferred)
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Comfortable using virtual care platforms, EHRs, and online coaching tools
Reliable internet connection and a private, secure workspace
Active dietetics licensure in your state of residence (if U.S-based); multi-state licensure is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting chronic conditions common in South Asian populations (diabetes, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular risk, obesity)
Familiarity with behavioral coaching or motivational interviewing
Experience working with culturally diverse clients
Multilingual abilities, especially in South Asian languages, are an advantage but not required
Supported U.S.-based patients remotely, providing personalized nutrition guidance and care coordination through virtual consultations
Schedule & Compensation
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Flexible scheduling, including evenings or weekends if preferred
Fully remote, work-from-home role
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: ₹1,070.99 - ?1,606.48 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
