The Team Global Security works hard to safeguard foundation personnel, information, facilities, assets, and reputation. we are comprised of about thirty employees as well as the contingent employees in Reception, the Guard Force, and the Global Security Operations Center. Security spans across all affiliates and regional offices and organizationally reports into Business Operations. Your Role Serve as the Global Security (GS) liaison and \xe2\x80\x9ctip of the spear\xe2\x80\x9d in engaging regional office country directors and staff in India and China. Responsible for oversight and implementation of Global Security policy and procedures throughout Asia, with a particular focus at Foundation office locations in India and China. Responsible for benchmarking and helping to research and analyze country data for comprehensive geopolitical assessments regarding risk issues specific to the countries, regions, and cities where the foundation operates. Responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance and improve team strategies and processes through various tasks. Establish and implement processes, policies and protocols for an effective security management system in foundation locations. What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do

  • Act as the GS liaison with regional office country directors, staff, and other affiliated personnel to implement, adjust, and enforce appropriate security measures.
  • Oversee security operations for the India Country Office and China Country Office. Manage and control the quality of the security programs and contracted vendors within a regional area of responsibility. This includes regular site visits to ensure timely and adequate:
    • Site security plans.
    • Conduct threat, vulnerability and risk assessments.
    • Training awareness programs (Incident Management/Regional Office contingency planning, Traveler Awareness, Personal Security Awareness).
    • Security support to Foundation-sponsored events and activities.
  • Act as the incident response coordinator for each office under your purview. These responsibilities include:
    • Working in consultation with each country and/or office director, select and train local incident response team members, ensuring they represent key programmatic and operational portfolios consistent with foundation incident management standards.
    • Lead annual incident management exercises for each office, constructing scenarios and training objectives to address key risks specific to each office context.
    • Respond to security incidents in assigned area of responsibility, activating and coordinating activities of the local incident response teams and preparing options for decision by the country/office director or the foundation\xe2\x80\x99s leadership team, as appropriate.
  • Provide security support for Foundation travel and operations through the APAC region.
  • Provide credible information and contextual analysis of localized and regional security situations and incidents, along with appropriate advice to GS managers.
  • Liaise with government, consular and private sector agencies within the foundation\xe2\x80\x99s regional office locations and continent-wide.
  • Maintain an effective security network at regional office locations, with both internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrate a problem-solving approach at all regional office locations and make recommendations to support the strategic aims and objectives of those policies and programs.
  • Be a team player, taking ownership and responsibility for addressing the full range of GS responsibilities as best you can in your role.
Your Experience
  • Demonstrated capability for regional/country risk assessment and reporting as well as operational security experience, including with corporate security entities and/or formal government-level service with diplomatic, law enforcement and/or intelligence agencies.
  • Experience working internationally in multiple settings (office & field) with strong security operational experience, understanding varying global perspectives and culture. Knowledge and experience in Indian and Chinese security matters preferred.
  • Experience representing security organizations with broad range of external partners, including government officials and benchmarking partners in other organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading responses to security incidents, including investigations and support to travelers.
  • Demonstrated experience developing security mitigation plans for high-level events and VIP visits.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; including research, monitoring and information collection and reporting.
  • Proven track record in security vendor management.
  • High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage executive-level decision makers.
  • Must have a proven track record of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, requiring a high level of attention to detail while maintaining focus on the big picture.
  • The ability to work independently and make sound decisions to maintain organizational objectives.
  • Strong ability to network effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent ability to identify and work effectively with key partners on complex, cross organizational and foundation projects in unfamiliar areas.
  • Use discretion with demonstrated experience in maintaining utmost confidentiality and privacy.
  • Available to travel internationally on a frequent basis (25 - 50%).
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s preferred or bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with 8 + years of experience with relevant experience in international relations, regional studies, security, or a related field is required.
  • Project/Program management and information security experience highly desired.
  • Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.
