Job Purpose:

To drive sales growth and market share of PU Wood Coatings and Retail Paints in the Maharashtra region by building and managing a strong dealer/retailer network, developing relationships with architects, contractors, and influencers, and leading the regional sales team to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Development

Develop and execute the sales strategy for Maharashtra to achieve revenue and volume targets.

Expand dealer/distributor/retailer network in key territories across Maharashtra.

Focus on increasing secondary sales and ensuring strong market penetration of PU retail products.

Identify new business opportunities with architects, contractors, carpenters, and consultants.

2. Team Management

Lead, mentor, and motivate Area Sales Managers (ASM), Territory Sales Officers (TSO), and field sales staff.

Set sales targets, monitor performance, and provide regular training and guidance.

Ensure adherence to company sales processes, reporting, and compliance standards.

3. Market Development & Branding

Execute marketing activities, influencer engagement, and dealer meets to strengthen brand presence.

Collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and emerging trends.

Collaborate with the Marketing team for regional campaigns and promotional activities.

4. Key Account & Relationship Management

Build strong relationships with top dealers, distributors, and influencers.

Handle escalations, credit control, and ensure timely collections.

Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective service coordination.

5. Reporting & Analysis

Monitor sales KPIs - volume, value, growth %, product mix, and profitability.

Provide accurate forecasts, MIS reports, and business reviews to management.

Track ROI of marketing and trade promotion activities.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong experience in the Paints / PU Wood Coating / Building Material industry.

Excellent dealer/distributor management skills.

Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

Strategic thinking with execution excellence.

Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.

Qualification & Experience:

Graduate / Post Graduate in Business Administration / Marketing (preferred).

10-15 years of relevant sales experience, with at least 3-5 years in a regional leadership role.

Must have handled Maharashtra market with a strong understanding of regional dealer and retail dynamics.

Experience in PU Wood Coatings / Paints

Compensation:

CTC (PA) - 15 - 20 LPA

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
