The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) - Narcotics Division will lead the sales operations for regulated (narcotic/controlled) pharmaceutical products across the assigned region. This role demands a fine balance between achieving business growth and ensuring strict adherence to the NDPS Act, government norms, and internal compliance policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
Achieve regional sales and growth targets for narcotic and controlled drugs.
Develop and implement strategic business plans aligned with corporate goals.
Identify, onboard, and manage distributors, stockists, and export partners.
Ensure all promotional and sales activities adhere to ethical and regulatory standards.
2. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure 100% compliance with the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, DCGI guidelines, and company SOPs.
Supervise documentation and stock registers for all controlled substances, including Form 3C/3D transactions.
Liaise with regulatory authorities during audits, inspections, and submissions.
Oversee secure storage, movement, and distribution of narcotic products as per government-approved procedures.
3. Team Management
Lead, motivate, and guide a team of Territory Sales Managers and Medical Representatives.
Conduct regular performance appraisals, field visits, and compliance training.
Foster a culture of discipline, accountability, and transparent reporting.
4. Market Intelligence & Strategy
Monitor competitor actions, pricing trends, and market dynamics.
Recommend new business opportunities and territory expansion.
Collaborate with marketing teams to design compliant awareness and promotional programs.
5. Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with Supply Chain, Production, Regulatory, and Finance teams to ensure uninterrupted product availability.
Submit periodic MIS reports, performance summaries, and compliance updates to the Head Office.
