The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) - Laboratory Equipment will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and managing key customer relationships within the assigned region. The role involves strategic planning, channel management, and close collaboration with distributors, laboratories, research institutions, and hospitals to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
Key Responsibilities:Sales & Business Development:
Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in academic, research, industrial, clinical, and government laboratories.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key decision-makers.
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions to promote company solutions.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with customers and distributors.
Market & Channel Management:
Manage and support distributors, dealers, and channel partners to ensure alignment with company goals.
Analyze regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with marketing to plan regional promotional campaigns, exhibitions, and seminars.
Operational & Reporting Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly and quarterly sales forecasts and performance reports.
Provide insights on customer needs, product performance, and market trends to product management teams.
Ensure timely collection of payments and adherence to credit control policies.
Work closely with service and application support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field.
MBA in Marketing or Business Management (preferred).
Experience:
5-10 years in sales of laboratory equipment, analytical instruments, or life science products.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding regional sales targets.
Experience managing distributor networks and institutional clients.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of laboratory instrumentation and applications.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a geographically dispersed team.
Strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen.
Proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office, and digital sales platforms.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
