The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving
sales growth, distribution expansion, and brand visibility
for our
organic and natural food portfolio
across the assigned region. The role requires strong execution capability in
General Trade, Modern Trade, and Own Retail formats
, while aligning with the brand's
organic, ethical, and sustainability-led positioning
.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business Growth
Own and deliver
regional primary and secondary sales targets
(value & volume).
Drive growth across
organic staples, fresh produce (where applicable), packaged foods, and value-added products
.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts aligned with demand planning and production teams.
2. Channel & Distribution Management
Appoint, manage, and scale
distributors, super stockists, and institutional partners
.
Strengthen
numeric and weighted distribution
, especially in premium and health-focused outlets.
Ensure
right stock mix, freshness, and FIFO compliance
, critical for organic products.
3. Own Retail & Cafe Coordination (if applicable)
Work closely with
company-owned stores / cafes
to drive throughput and category growth.
Support new store launches, regional activations, and local marketing initiatives.
Ensure alignment between
retail sales, warehouse supply, and regional demand
.
4. Market Execution & Brand Visibility
Execute trade schemes, consumer promotions, and in-store activations aligned with brand values.
Ensure superior
in-store visibility, merchandising standards, and storytelling of organic benefits
.
Track competitor activity (organic & non-organic brands) and recommend pricing/promo strategies.
5. Team Leadership & Capability Building
Lead and develop a team of
Area Sales Managers, Sales Officers, and Sales Executives
.
Conduct joint market visits, regular reviews, and skill-building sessions.
Drive performance culture while ensuring ethical selling practices.
6. Modern Trade & Key Accounts (if applicable)
Manage regional modern trade chains, premium stores, and institutional accounts.
Negotiate commercials, manage promotions, and ensure timely collections.
Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure uninterrupted service levels.
7. Reporting, Compliance & Controls
Review sales MIS, distributor performance, ageing, and ROI on schemes.
Ensure adherence to company policies, credit norms, and statutory compliances.
Work closely with Finance, SCM, and QA teams to maintain operational discipline.

Candidate Profile
Experience:
6-8 years of FMCG sales experience
Minimum 3-5 years in a regional or large-area leadership role
Exposure to
food, organic, natural, dairy, or agri-based FMCG brands
preferred
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of GT, MT, and own retail formats
Distributor and team management expertise
Analytical and execution-oriented mindset
High alignment with
organic, ethical, and sustainability-driven brands
Education:
Graduate / MBA in Sales & Marketing (preferred)
