Post description
Provide a regular stream of market prospects
Maintain the sales data base and update and maintain sales documentation details to allow management to strategize and plan
Work collaboratively with internal departments and coordinate bid proposals in conjunction with the tendering department.
Wrap up and submit the bids, ensure the presentation of the bids to the potential customers together with the internal departments and lead the negotiations to secure the contracts
Coordinate Marketing activities to ensure the promotion of the Alstef Group brand and that it contributes positively to business generation
Develop strategic alliances and business partnerships to further business opportunities
Organise and conduct client presentations
Study market trends and competitive products and create a comparative matrix to determine future product development and performance requirements.
Provide analytical feed-back to Alstef Group.
Circulate widely in the industry and participate in trade shows as identified in the business plan
Meeting key KPI's set out within the employment contract
Work closely with senior management team to initiate, develop, and implement strategic plans
Mentor/train other sales team members and peers to increase product and market knowledge
Attend improvement training courses regularly
Manage costs and budgets
Ensure compliance with local law
Ensure compliance within Alstef Group policies and processes
Report effectively and in timely manner
Profile required
+ Proven track record in sales development, 10 years, preferably with mechanical, electrical or software products/industries and capital projects experience
+ Experience in the logistics, baggage handling industries and commercial aviation industries
+ Sound leadership skills within the sales area
+ Desire and ability to deliver outstanding customer service, displaying a total commitment to identifying and providing solutions of the highest possible standards to exceed customer expectations
+ A strategic thinker with the ability to ensure proposed solutions and plans are consistent with the business and competitive strategy of the organisation in a global economy
+ Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of our industry
+ The ability to set the highest standards of performance for one's own and other's work, to demonstrate personal commitment to the organisation and to motivate self and others to achieve positive results
+ Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
