: Role: Regional Sales Manager
Role Demands
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the overall management of the assigned Region. This is a position that involves in managing the entire Field/Operations/sales team of the Project in allocated regions. The role is accountable for the short term & long term Performance of the Region as per the agreed KRAs. Key responsibility is to motivate & drive the Team for optimum result.
Summary:

  • Manage Operations including adherence to call cycles, exception reporting, maintaining point of purchase standard, implementing cycle plans & promotional grids.
  • Sales Forecasting & Operations Planning.
  • Manage People Development by building appropriate skills, ensuring right people occupying the right jobs.
  • Manage Training & Development of Team
  • Build a Service Oriented Team
  • Ensure 100% Manning and keep Attrition within specified limits.
  • Client / Customer interaction including Review Meetings with Client / Customers & Trade Visits.
  • Proactively collect, analyze & report Sales Performance
  • Efficiently manage distribution channel, leveraging growth opportunities.
  • Manage and support sales team for the Region & lead execution metrics.
  • Inventory management at Distributor.
  • Provide understanding of the market, including Shopper Insight & Competitive Landscape.
  • Perform Gap Analysis & prioritize areas for organizational Performance improvement.
  • Set up right analytical practices within the Team.
  • Adapt, improve & modify working methods to optimize day to day processes & systems in line with the Business Principles.
  • Ensure effective management of Appraisals for Team members.
  • Liaise & collaborate with the backend Team for the smooth functioning of the frontend Team
  • Deliver the Growth plan for the Region.
Competencies Required:

  • Should be currently working as ASM / ZSM / RSM
  • Minimum 5 years' experience, at least 3 years as ASM

Role Outlines
Direct span of reports is approximately 4-5 ASMs across the Region, each ASM to have 4-5 Field Supervisors & 10 Sales Officers. Overall business span could currently account to approximately 10 to 15 people, and is expected to grow up to 40 to 50 People in Future.
Base Location: Bengaluru
Educational Qualification: Graduate/ MBA
Experience:
  • At least 5yrs of experience of General Trade, Modern Trade & HORECA for Rice industry.
  • Working knowledge of the rice industry with accounts knowledge for at least 2 States (AP + Telangana as 1 State) of South
  • New Channel/ Distribution Development
  • Managing a Team
Reportee's: Area Sales Manager
Reporting to: Business Unit Manager
