Job Overview:



The Regional Sales Head will be responsible for leading and driving the sales operations in a specific geographic region for the company. This individual will oversee the development and execution of regional sales strategies, manage distributor and retailer relationships, and ensure that sales targets are met across all product categories. The role requires a dynamic leader with strong business acumen, proven experience in sales management, and the ability to execute a regional strategy in alignment with national business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:



1.

Sales Strategy and Planning



o Develop and implement regional sales strategies that align with national goals and objectives for the company.

o Identify growth opportunities within the region, ensuring both short-term and long-term sales objectives are met.

o Analyze regional market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to adjust strategies as necessary.

o Set clear sales targets, KPIs, and growth initiatives for the region.

Team Leadership and Development



o Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers, Sales Executives, and other regional sales personnel.

o Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide training to enhance the team's sales capabilities.

o Foster a high-performance culture by motivating the sales team to meet and exceed targets.

Sales Execution and Channel Management



o Oversee the daily operations of the regional sales team, ensuring effective implementation of sales strategies and timely execution.

o Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and other channel partners.

o Ensure efficient distribution and stock management in the region, addressing any supply chain issues or bottlenecks.

o Monitor and ensure proper sales forecasting, inventory levels, and distribution effectiveness.

New Market Penetration and Product Launches



o Identify and penetrate new markets within the region to increase market share for the company's products.

o Oversee the introduction and promotion of new products in the region, ensuring effective execution of product launch plans.

o Lead the expansion into underserved or emerging markets with tailored regional strategies.

5.

Sales Performance Monitoring and Reporting



o Track and analyze sales performance against targets and KPIs, adjusting strategies and tactics as needed.

o Regularly report on regional sales performance to senior management, highlighting key successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.

o Utilize data and analytics to understand sales trends, customer behavior, and competitive activities to drive decision-making.

Relationship Management and Customer Service



o Maintain and strengthen relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

o Address any customer complaints, product issues, or service concerns in a timely and professional manner.

o Work closely with the marketing team to ensure sales promotions and marketing materials align with regional needs.

Budget Management and Cost Control



o Manage the regional sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and controlling costs.

o Monitor and optimize the ROI of sales programs, promotions, and campaigns within the region.

Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams



o Collaborate with marketing, product development, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.

o Work with the marketing team to develop region-specific campaigns, promotions, and trade marketing strategies.

o Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and stock availability in the region.

9.

Compliance and Reporting Standards



o Ensure that all regional sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical guidelines.

o Ensure timely and accurate submission of sales reports, customer feedback, and market data to senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience:



Education:



o Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

Experience:



o Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

o Proven experience in the FMCG sector, preferably in edible oils or food products.

o Strong track record of achieving sales targets, managing sales teams, and handling multiple distribution channels.

o Experience in managing regional or multi-state sales territories is a key advantage.

o Expertise in market analysis, sales forecasting, and budgeting.

Compensation:



Competitive salary package, including performance-based bonuses, benefits, and allowances.

Pay: ₹125,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
