JOB DESCRIPTION -
The Regional Sales Manager - South Channel Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market presence for lead acid battery products across the Southern region through effective channel sales management. This role involves developing and executing regional sales strategies, managing and strengthening distributor and dealer networks, achieving sales targets, and identifying new business opportunities. The position requires strong leadership, market insight, and the ability to build long-term relationships with channel partners while ensuring alignment with company objectives and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities -
Channel Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement the regional sales strategy for lead acid battery products across all channel partners (distributors, dealers, etc.).
Identify new channel partners and opportunities to expand market reach.
Analyse market trends and competitor activity to refine sales strategies and product positioning.
Relationship Management:
Cultivate strong, lasting relationships-building, negotiation & conflict-resolution skills with channel partners
Provide training and ongoing support to channel partners to ensure consistent product knowledge & sales performance.
Sales Targets & Forecasting:
Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Prepare sales forecasts and provide regular updates on performance, trends, and opportunities to senior management.
Marketing & Promotional Support:
Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, trade events, and product launches.
Ensure channel partners are aligned with marketing initiatives to drive demand generation and sales.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
Stay up to date with market dynamics and customer needs in the South region.
Provide market feedback and insights to product development and senior management to shape future product offerings and strategies.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals within the region.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance sales culture focused on achieving objectives.
____________________________________Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field.
6-10 years of experience in Lead Acid Battery manufacturing leading company are preferable.
Strong hands-on experience in channel sales of lead acid batteries (Automotive, Industrial & Inverter).
Proven experience managing distributor & Dealer network across the south region.
Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve and exceed regional sales targets.
Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills with channel partners.
Should know - Tamil, Telugu, Hindi. Kannada & Malayalam will be an added advantage.
Willingness to travel extensively within the South region.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
