multiple stores and must have experience in East Region.
Job
Purpose:

To
be accountable for all aspects of the commercial operation by managing the performance
of store teams to deliver agreed business targets.

To
create and exploit all commercial opportunities through the development of easy
to shop, inspirational and visually attractive shopping environments.

To
maintain active and regular communication between Head Office Warehouse and
Stores to ensure key messages are delivered in the most effective format.

Responsible
for achieving profitable sales results by effectively managing the region and
its constituent stores, garnering market intelligence and tracking competition,
creating an effective team of staff, and ensuring a high level of customer
service
Key
Deliverables (Essential functions & Responsibilities of the Job):

Include delivery of seasonal look as per UK guidelines.

Drive excellence in store opening deliverables.

Conduct merchandise probes in consultation with stores to optimize
catalogue and sales.

Work with stores in the region on controllable costs and review
profit and loss of each store.

Work with store managers to ensure compliance in stores in the
region.

Demonstrate commercial flare in order to create competitive
advantage.

Encourage and promote all opportunities to drive sales through the
development of store teams.

Clear and regular channels of communication to ensure stores are
up to date and consistent in focusing on key priorities.

Collaborate positively with the merchandise, commercial and visual
teams to drive layout, pricing and catalogue changes as appropriate in the
stores.

Ensure store and staff presentation and standards are in line with
the brand requirements and are consistent across sites.

Set and agree store performance targets that are stretching.

Line manage store managers using effective performance coaching to
achieve optimum results.

Improve overall profitability by applying in depth customer and
competitor knowledge to identify business opportunities.

Demonstrate commercial flair in order to create competitive
advantage.

To produce sound business case to support proposed new activities
or developments in the region.

Use sound judgment and experience to play a part in making key
business decisions that will have a positive impact on stores and
profitability.

Exploit systems, processes and feedback mechanisms to gather and
act on appropriate information.

Use regular store visits to reinforce standards of visual
presentation.

Timely and efficient implementation of marketing promotions across
all sites.

Ensure store managers adhere to the correct operational standards
as established.

Travel around the region and overseas as required for pre seasonal
launches.

Ensure clear lines of communication between warehouse and stores
to ensure efficient coordination of stock, equipment and decor.

Enforce procedures to maintain stock and systems accuracy and
profit protection across all sites.

Enhance sales through Identification and analysis of trends as per
footfall, conversion rates, bill value, individual SKU sales, etc. for the
region.

Ensure achievement of sales targets which have been set for the
region.

Cascade regional targets to the stores and drive team to meet
these targets.

Continually monitor achievement of sales targets and take
corrective measures where required.

Ensure optimal inventory management in the region by conducting
periodic merchandise availability audits and giving feedback to merchandising
department in this regard.

Provide relevant inputs to stores and marketing team for the
development of marketing material.

Ensure minimization of costs by effective allocation and
monitoring of HR and operational expenses like stationery, conveyance, phone,
staff welfare, travel, etc. for the stores.

Authorize all capital expenditure, apart from expansion costs, for
existing stores.

Ensure that mystery shopping standards are met at the stores in
the region and constantly endeavor to improve the mystery shopping scores.

Conduct "floor walks" to assess customer service quality.

Instill highest standards of customer service by coaching store
managers on the same.

Implement process improvements in the region as per feedback
solicited from customers.

Drive improvisations in current service levels by developing
& tracking customer satisfaction metrics for evaluation in the region.

Ensure process compliance at all stores in the region as per the
corporate guidelines laid down in terms of VM, mystery shopping, OSS standards,
etc.

Ensure adherence to set standards by conducting periodic audits
and taking corrective actions.

Help to design new process guidelines as required.

Ensure optimal staffing in region through effective manpower
planning at the stores.

Ensure alignment of the team with the business strategy.

Drive engagement in employees through well-designed rewards and
recognition programs for the region and take feedback on the same.

Ensure adequate learning and development of the team through
on-the-job training, classroom training, commercial training, coaching, etc.

Develop team members by providing timely and constructive feedback
to help team members identify their strengths and weaknesses.

Consistently reinforce customer service standards in stores and
develop a culture where people are committed to achieving these standards.

Use strong and positive influencing skills to drive change and
challenge bad practice.
